As you can see, the Galaxy A7 adopts the same vertical lens shape as the more recent iPhone’s but with an extra camera.

The norm right now for rear-facing phone cameras is set to two but there is one company who has tried to put three lenses on one phone and that’s Huawei with their P20 Pro. Samsung is trying out the same gimmick too by adding in a third camera to their first ever triple camera device: the Galaxy A7.

From the image above, you can see that the phone adopts the same vertical lens shape as the more recent iPhone’s but one extra camera has been added. The topmost lens is a depth lens with 5MP (F2.2) to go with the middle 24MP (F1.7) lens to give you the best depth of field photos. The bottom camera has an 8MP (F2.4) Ultra Wide lens offering up to 120 degrees, capturing unrestricted wide-angle photos. As for the front facing camera, it’s set to 24MP.

More on the specs. The device has a 6-inch Super AMOLED (1080×2220) display, with an Octa-core 2.2GHz SoC (chipset may vary by market). The phone also comes with three different storage options. You can choose either the 4GB/64GB internal, 4GB/128GB internal storage, or 6GB/128GB internal storage. If you’re looking to expand the storage even more, there is an option to put a microSD card up to 512GB. Android Oreo 8.0 comes pre-installed and the battery size is 3,300mAh. Other features the device comes with is a dedicated Bixby button, Dolby Atmos support, have Samsung Pay, and Samsung Health.

The Galaxy A7 is will be released on October 11th during Samsung’s A Galaxy Event that day. Pricing should be announced during the launch event.

With Samsung bringing back the A series family, this may be good for the company to continue to sell a mid-range device with high-end specs. What do you guys think about the Galaxy A7? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
