Crowdfunding projects run the gamut from tried and true to interesting. The MUJA smartphone gamepad for Android and iOS is definitely one to file under interesting.

While most gamepads feature your typical controller thumbsticks and buttons, MUJA attaches to the back of your smartphone and features a touch sensor pad on the back. The sensor pad can be programmed to respond to four different fingers.

MUJA offers up to 36 hours of battery life with its 450mAh battery. It attaches to Android smartphones and iPhones by way of suction cups, and connects via Bluetooth 4.2.

The gamepad itself is 133 x 68 x 5.4mm and will have an MSRP of $99 when the campaign launches later this month.
