Computex 2019 is in full swing and Alienware and Dell Gaming have announced updated gaming laptops, peripherals, and more. In addition to updates to their Alienware and Dell Gaming lineups, the company has also unveiled a new Eyesafe Display and debuted their Dell Home Installation Services.

Let’s take a look at the list of new gaming-related announcements from the company.
Eyesafe® Display
Before we get into the gaming laptop updates, Dell has introduced a next generation Eyesafe® Display in the Dell G7 17 and Alienware m17 gaming laptops. The new display reduces blue light while maintaining colour accuracy — something which tends to get skewed when you reduce blue light.
The new display uses both software and hardware adjustments to protect your eyes from harmful blue light. In addition, the new technology can reduce dry, irritated eyes, blurred vision, reduced attention span, and trouble sleeping which can arise from extended computer and blue light exposure.
Alienware
The Alienware m15 and m17 gaming laptops, designed from the ground up, are now thinner and lighter than ever before. The updated systems feature Alienware’s new design ID, Legend, and are available with 9th generation Intel Core mobile CPUs, NVIDIA GTX 16 and 20 series GPUs, and new display technology.
Alienware m15/m17
Features of the updated Alienware m17 include:
- AlienFX customizable lighting available across various zones including the power button, LCD cover Alien head, infinite loop, and the full keyboard, per-key.
- Engineered for full support for Alienware Command Center technology enabling the management of system settings, game profiles, AlienFX, and with integrated special features in over 150 game titles.
- Enables full support for the Alienware Graphics Amplifier enabling dedicated PCI-Express bandwidth for desktop graphics cards from NVIDIA or AMD.
- Alienware’s Advanced Cryo-Tech 3.0 technology platform on the Alienware m15 brings a 32% CPU fan diameter increase, 10% GPU fan diameter increase, increased airflow, and 25% less airflow impedance.
- Designed with our premium Alienware mSeries keyboard with per-key RGB LED AlienFX lighting, now with 1.7mm of travel, anti-ghosting technology, per-key RGB LED lighting, N-Key rollover technology, and a new 0.2mm-dish concave key design.
- The m17 is also the world’s first notebook featuring Eyesafe® low blue light technology, that helps protect gamers eyes especially for extended gameplay –available on the 144Hz panel option which also includes Tobii Eye Tracking technology.

Dell Home Installation Services
Dell is now offering in-home installation for your new or refurbished Alienware, XPS, or Inspiron laptops. Installation includes unpacking your new or refurbished PC, performing system start up, connecting it to your home network and pairing it with peripheral devices.
Consumers can also get additional services for an added cost. These services include data migration from a previous system and installing additional components. Dell Home Installation Services are now available in Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Mexico, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the US, and New Zealand.
