Last month, Xbox announced a special edition Fortnite Xbox One S console. Now, Fortnite fans can pre-order a special edition Fortnite Xbox controller.
The purple Xbox Wireless Controller also comes with the Legendary Dark Vertex outfit and 500 V-Bucks. The controller also sports a 3.5mm headphone jack as well as Bluetooth technology, allowing you to use the controller on Windows 10 devices as well.
The introduction of the controller comes just in time for this weekend’s Fortnite World Cup Finals. For the past 10 weeks, gamers have been qualifying online. As a result, 200 of the best Fortnite player’s in the world will be competing in New York City for a share of the $30 million prize pool. If you’re interested in catching the action, you can do so on Mixer.
Oh, and Major Nelson is giving away a Fortnite Battle Royale Special Edition Bundle, one of the new controllers, and codes for the Fortnite Battle Royale Breakpoint’s Challenge pack. You can enter via Gleam. The deadline to enter is 3 pm ET on Wednesday, July 30 with winners notified on the following day.
The Xbox Wireless Controller – Fortnite Special Edition is available for pre-order and will ship starting September 17 at the Microsoft Store and retailers worldwide for US$64.99.
