The Huawei P30 Pro has won the EISA’s “Best Smartphone of the Year” Award, marking the second consecutive win in the category for the company.
Like our recent review of Huawei’s latest flagship Android smartphone, the EISA noted the exception Leica cameras in the P30 Pro. In fact, they stated that its low-light capabilities are “by far the best you can currently get from a smartphone.” The organization also gave kudos to the ultra-wide lens, portrait mode, and the periscopic 5x telephoto lens saying that it “surpasses any of its competitors.”
“We are honoured to receive another award from EISA and pleased with the recognition of the P30 Pro. With every device, Huawei is committed to bringing new and improved smartphone photography experience to consumers, pushing the limit of smartphone camera capabilities with the latest technologies.”Li Changzhu, Vice President of the Handset Business, Huawei Consumer Business Group
The smartphone’s Leica Quad Camera System features a 40MP main camera, a 20MP ultra-wide angle camera, an 8MP telephoto camera, the HUAWEI ToF Camera, and a 32MP front camera.
With it’s double 3D curved glass body and 6.47” OLED Dewdrop display, the P30 Pro is powered by the Kirin 980, the world’s first 7nm mobile process chipset. The large 4200mAh battery also offers up almost two days of use. We were able to find out first hand just what a stellar device this smartphone is.
While the Huawei P30 Pro smartphone has a fairly standard design, it does have solid build quality, great performance, decent battery life, and an outstanding camera with many features. If mobile photography is your thing, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better camera on another phone. As such, we’ve awarded the P30 Pro with a Top Pick of 2019 here at Techaeris, largely for the camera alone.Techaeris P30 Pro review
