[IFA 2019] The Acer Predator Thronos Air is your ultimate gaming chair… with a hefty price tag

|

When most gamers think of a gaming chair, chances are it’s just a stylized, more comfortable office chair. The Acer Predator Thronos Air “gaming cave” puts all those basic gaming chairs to shame, but it most certainly doesn’t come cheap.

“Following the great reception of the Predator Thronos, we’ve created the Predator Thronos Air, allowing more gamers to upgrade their gaming environment for a fully immersive experience.”

Jerry Kao, Co-COO, Acer

While it’s technically a gaming chair, Acer does refer to the Predator Thronos Air as “a sleek gaming cave for hardcore enthusiasts.” With a solid steel structure, the vibrating chair also features a modular desk and monitor arm. When seated, gamers will feel like they are encased in a cockpit. The chair also comes complete with teal blue lighting which gives off a soft glow.

The chair also offers various angle adjustments, an adjustable keyboard and mouse tray, a footrest, and even includes a massage function. The monitor arm can support up to three displays and can be manually adjusted for the optimal height. Acer has streamers covered with this chair and it allows for a camera to be mounted above the middle monitor.

The chair obviously doesn’t include a PC or monitors, but a platform behind the chair and a cable management system keep your gaming rig neat, tidy, and out of the way. Want more? The Predator Thronos Air can be customized and upgraded to suit your gaming style and needs. Some of the upgrades that can be added include a seat stabilizer, cup holder, headset holder, USB hub, and a camera.
