It’s smartphone season, with the Samsung Galaxy Note10+ and the iPhone already announced the next big announcement is the Google Pixel 4. But through all the lights, media coverage, and long-winded speeches. one Kickstarter smartphone is attempting to grab our attention.
Yeah, a Kickstarter smartphone that says its the only phone you’ll ever need and comes with a 4-year warranty at a silly affordable price. This Kickstarter smartphone sports a MediaTek 12nm 2.0GHz P60 octa-core processor, dual rear cameras, 128GB of storage, and the antiquated yet beloved headphone jack. It also supports MicroSD card storage expansion which many users love having.
The name of this Kickstarter smartphone is, Teracube. Teracube is also promising 3-years of Android OS and Android security updates. Although Android 10 won’t be rolling out to Teracube until Spring 2020, which is a bit late in our opinion.
The phone also houses a 3,400 mAh battery and sports a 6.2″ FHD+ IPS display and is constructed of Gorilla Glass, though it’s not clear what version. The frame is constructed of metal alloy which is supposed to give it more strength and durability.
“I’ve always envisioned changing the disposable nature of the consumer electronics industry by designing high-quality products that last longer,” said Sharad Mittal, Co-Founder of Teracube. “This is why we are offering a four-year warranty on Teracube. We want to talk about our footprint and show people how small changes can make a huge impact.”
Teracube includes free battery change and express replacement. and is will available for pre-order on Kickstarter for an Early Bird price of US$199 (prices after Kickstarter are expected to jump to US$349). The phone supports AT&T, MetroPCS, T-Mobile, Cricket, Lyca and more.
We’ve recently heard about several that we’ve written about that have failed or are having issues. Our reporting on crowdfunding campaigns does not mean we support or are affiliated with them. Support at your own risk.Purchase from Kickstarter
