Starting September 24, you’ll be able to pick one up in store, or order online, and pay only a $25 deposit. But(!) if you call T-mobile technical support they will process your order now and waive the $25 deposit.
It’s worth noting that you don’t own the Cellspot, you’re borrowing it while you have T-mobile service.

Bloomberg and BGR are reporting that Android users are leaving the platform in “droves” and trade-ins to Gazelle are up 200% all due to the iPhone 6. Both websites are claiming the iPhone 6 larger screens are the deciding factor behind Android users abandoning their Samsungs, HTCs and other devices. This very well could be true.

Virtual reality is another one of those emerging technologies that is still in its baby stages. The Oculus Rift has been getting good press and Samsung has even jumped into the game with Samsung Gear VR. Now AirVR wants to strap an iPad Mini (or iPhone 6 Plus) to your face and immerse you in its version of VR. This Kickstarter is seeking $20,000 on Kickstarter for the project and is nearly at $14,000 at the time of this writing with 26 days to go.

TwitPic lives again! Fans of the service are rejoicing today as an unnamed buyer swooped in to rescue the service from closing down. TwitPic has been under pressure from Twitter for alleged trademark issues (over the Twit part of their name). Founder Noah Everett claimed the reason he was shutting down the service was due to Twitter’s strong arm approach in the trademark matter.

The gadget tinkerers over at iFixit have gotten their mitts on the iPhone 6 Plus and already given us a video of its tear down. I was particularly interested in finding out what size battery this larger iPhone would be sporting and it turns out it’s a 2915mAh, 3.82V, 11.1 Wh battery which should give it some decent life.
