FedEx addresses fraudulent emails on its website saying, “FedEx does not send unsolicited emails to customers requesting information regarding packages, invoices, account numbers, passwords or personal information.”

eBay Hit With Another Phishing Scam, User Credentials Compromised

It hasn’t been a good year for people wanting to keep their personal data safe. More than a few high profile data breaches, leaks, and hacks, have hit everybody from Target, Home Depot, celebrities, and just about everybody in between.  Add eBay to the list of those affected, as it’s recently been uncovered that the online auction site has allowed nefarious content in listings that has been used to obtain user’s private information.

Two Russian Hackers Arrested In Conjunction With iPhone Ransomware

The Hacker News reports that two young hackers from Russia have been arrested following an investigation into recent cyber attacks against iPhone owners.  These attacks mostly affected users in Australia and New Zealand, and used a phishing scheme to gain user account information.  After gaining this information, the hackers took advantage of Apple’s Find My iPhone feature to lock down users’ devices.
