The Leap Motion Controller has hit the sales floor of Newegg.com and it comes with a free copy of GameWAVE, an app for mapping keyboard commands, macros, mouse clicks and movements to simple hand gestures to improve gaming and productivity. The Leap Motion is selling for $79.99 on Newegg and is available now. Here’s what Leap Motion and Newegg had to say about the announcement.
“Newegg.com has an incredible reputation for great products and great service, as well as a loyal customer base of gamers and gadget enthusiasts — making it an ideal retail partner to sell the Leap Motion Controller,” said Leap Motion President and COO Andy Miller. “The GameWAVE app special offer allows Newegg customers to enhance their gaming experience by using natural hand gestures to cast spells, rotate their field of view or perform other customized play modifications.”
“We’ve had a lot of interest in Leap Motion from our community, and we’re excited to begin selling one of the hottest new technologies on the market,” said Stephen Weller, Director of Product Management at Newegg. “The Leap Motion Controller’s cost-effective price point, wide variety of applications and ability to work with both PC and Mac computers make it a must-have gift this holiday season.”
The Leap Motion Controller works with computers running Mac OS X 10.7 or 10.8, or Windows 7 or 8.
