9to5 Mac is reporting that Verizon Wireless is admitting to less than stellar LTE performance in bigger cities lately. This is really a first for the mobile company, who has long held the reputation of providing some of the best service in mobile.

As America’s largest carrier, Verizon also boasts the greatest number of LTE customers as well. 9to5 Mac says that one third of Verizon customers have LTE devices yet consume two thirds of the data. Walt Mossberg of the WSJ conducted some real world data tests and the results are below.
