Origin recently started an “On the House” promotion, where they offer a game (or sometimes two) for free.  So far they have been older games, but still quality titles for free.  This month that trend continues with Battlefield 3 and Plants Vs. Zombies – Game of the Year Edition for the low, low price of Free!

I’ve not played Battlefield 3, but it’s gotten quite favorable reviews.  You can check out what professional reviewers think over on Metacritic.

Summary: As bullets whiz by, walls crumble, and explosions throw you to the ground, the battlefield feels more alive and interactive than ever before. In Battlefield 3, players step into the role of the elite U.S. Marines where they will experience heart-pounding single player missions and competitive multiplayer actions ranging across diverse locations from around the globe including Europe, Middle-East and North America.

I’ve played quite a lot of Plants Vs. Zombies, and it has been equally well received, with an average score of 87 on Metacritic.

Summary: Zombies are invading your home, and the only defense is your arsenal of plants! Armed with an alien nursery-worth of zombie-zapping plants like peashooters and cherry bombs, you’ll need to think fast and plant faster to stop dozens of types of zombies dead in their tracks. Obstacles like a setting sun, creeping fog and a swimming pool add to the challenge, and with five game modes to dig into, the fun never dies!

You can pick up both games for free until June 3rd.  What are you waiting for?  They’re free!  Let us know what you think about these games in the comments below, or on Google+, Facebook, or Twitter.  Social sharing icons are available on the left side of your screen.
