Today Calendar – Android
Ever since the Android L Developer Preview was released, I’ve been impatiently waiting for apps to take advantage of Material Design. I know that L apps aren’t allowed on the Play Store yet, but Today Calendar does a great job at implementing some of the upcoming Material Design features for 4.0.3 devices and up. The app is currently in beta, so if you can’t get to the link you can opt-in on Google+ through the Today Beta Testers community.

Plex – Android & iOS
This won’t be the most exciting blurb about Plex since I’ve really just barely started messing with it. I took advantage of the current prices to get a Lifetime PlexPass before the rates go up in a few days (get on that if you’re interested, Lifetime Pass doubles on 9/29). I’ve heard good things about Plex so I can’t wait to see what it can do.

Reddit Now – Android
Reddit Now is one of my new favorite ways to browse Reddit. I’d been using other clients for a while, but I decided that I wanted something more picture-driven. Reddit Now is that app. It has a clean, beautiful interface that’s easy to use, and makes browsing picture-driven subreddits much more enjoyable.

So, what are some of your favorite apps? Let us know in the comments below, on Facebook, Google+, or Twitter! Be sure to check out next week’s Appetizers!
