A potentially new Microsoft Lumia device has appeared up for auction on a Chinese website. The Lumia phone, listed under the Nokia brand, sports a 1920×1080 5″ screen running Windows Phone 8.1 with a camera that covers a large portion of the back of the phone, similar to the Lumia 1020 model. The seller is asking ¥1588.00 for the device.

While the Google Translation of the website leaves something to be desired, a few interesting tidbits surface, including this:

with the nail does not work, but closer to the screen, and the fingers do not touch the screen, can operate

This sounds like the device supports some sort of touch gestures, and the screen doesn’t have to be touched in order to work. The Verge pointed out that this may indicate that the unit instead a prototype of the “Nokia McLaren” which supposedly featured gesture control.

The specific model is unknown, but the settings screen lists the device as a Nokia RM_1052. The listing also indicates the device has 2GB RAM, 32GB storage space, and an SD card slot. One of the images also shows that the device is a prototype and is the property of Microsoft Mobile.

We’ll probably never know what exactly this phone was a prototype of, but it’s always fun when these things surface in various corners of the Internet. Check out more photos of the device in our photo gallery below.
