A great Marvel Cyber Monday deal on the Marvel Unlimited service, which grants you access to over 75 years worth of comics, was announced today. The deal, available from today until December 4th at 3am EST, will net you the first month of Marvel Unlimited for $0.75. After that, the subscription price will hop back up to $9.99/month but if you’re a new comic book reader, or a veteran hoping to catch up, it’s more than worth it.
If you haven’t heard of it before, Marvel Unlimited gives you the ability to browse all of the comic giant’s past books on your desktop, mobile device or tablet. It’s a fantastic way to catch up on some classics you missed or just to read something new. The only real downside is that all of the new comics are on a six-month delay. However, if you don’t mind being constantly behind quite a bit, it ends up being the same type of wait as every month that new 6-month old issue of Rocket Raccoon will release. It won’t technically be new, but it’ll be new to you.
From my own experience, desktop works mostly flawless as you can just expand the comic to full screen and scroll at your own will. Mobile is a little tougher with a smaller screen, but Marvel Unlimited’s story mode will advance to the next relevant panel with a tap of the screen. It doesn’t always work perfectly for some older or more obscure comics, but when it does it’s really satisfying and a fun new way to experience the books.
This isn’t the first time Marvel has had insane deal on the service, and it probably won’t be last, but it likely won’t ever get lower than this $0.75 price point. I’d recommend giving it a shot, and if you find yourself not using it, don’t forget to cancel before those 30-days are up so you don’t get charged again.[button type=”link” link=”http://marvel.com/cyberweek” size=”btn-sm” variation=”btn-danger” target=”blank”]Source: Marvel[/button]
