Nintendo UK has released a brand new gameplay trailer for the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D. Not a whole lot of new information is given about changes coming compared to the original game on the N64, but it sure does look pretty.
The trailer shows that Majora’s Mask 3D will a very similar look to Ocarina of Time 3D, which released on the 3DS in 2011, with a lot of smooth textures and a bright color palette. Majora’s Mask does have much darker imagery than it’s N64 cousin, of course, but a lot of the game’s creepier moments weren’t shown.
Nintendo has been slowly ramping up hype for the remake since its announcement late last year, and offering several pre-order bonuses in the process. As we reported on last week, a special edition version of Majora’s Mask 3D would net you a Skull Kid figurine. For those across the pond in Europe, a similar deal was offered that included a paperweight featuring the iconic Skull Kid mask. While it’s a bad idea to pre-order any game nine times out of ten, if you already know you love Majora’s Mask it may just be worth picking it up early to get that bonus while you still can.
There was also a special Majora’s Mask edition 3DS announced by Nintendo during their Nintendo Direct on Wednesday, available exclusively through GameStop. The system sold out almost immediately online, but you may still be able to find one, or reserve on, at your local store.
