"Frank Underwolf" Stars In Sesame Street's House Of Cards Parody

|

House of Cards Season 3 may be less than a week away from debuting on Netflix, but some fans are finding it hard to wait that long to hear the southern drawl of Frank Underwood. If that’s the case for you, Sesame Street has you covered with a new House of Cards parody starring “Frank Underwolf” as he works his way to the Whitebrick House.

Some people say there’s too much pork in this town. Frank Underwolf could not agree more. And that is why Mr. Underwolf is on a mission to huff and puff and blow down all the little pigs’ houses. In this town, you have to know which way the wind is blowing, and unfortunately, for those little piggies, it’s about to get very windy.

Riffing on the classic Three Little Pigs tale, the short parody features its titular purple wolf working his way up from several “White Houses” made out of straw and hay (each of which crumble like a house… of cards) before finally getting to the one made of brick. All along the way he’s berated and feared just like Frank Underwood in House of Cards. Also like House of Cards, Frank Underwolf has a slow southern accent.
My personal favorite part is when Underwolf texts two of the pigs informing them that he is about to blow their house down, and the parody uses the same type of pop-up that the actual Emmy-winning Netflix show uses.

Sesame Street is no stranger to creating parodies of popular geek icons using their own characters. Cookie Mosnter has starred in Lord of the Crumbs, Twilight: Breaking Cookie, Star S’mores, The Cookie of Oz, and more.
If watching this parody on repeat until February 27th isn’t enough to tide you over until House of Cards returns, you still have time to marathon the first two seasons before that date. Just say goodbye to family and friends for a while if you haven’t already watched them – it’ll be worth it.
