New Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu No F Trailer Gives Frieza A New Look

|

A brand new trailer for the upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu No F, or Resurrection of F, reveals a brand new, golden look for Frieza. Toei Animation uploaded the preview to their YouTube channel and showed off a more menacing form on one of DBZ’s most recognizable villains.
The video begins with a flashback to the demise of the intergalactic overlord in his cybernetic form, falling victim to a mysterious Super Saiyan who turned out to be Future Trunks. Then, Frieza appears in his original form surrounded by an army of the loyal subordinates that likely remained from his many conquests around the universe, and a battle commences with Goku and the Z-Fighters.
During this battle, it becomes apparent that the Saiyans aren’t the only ones who can push past their previously established limits. Frieza transforms from what was believed to be his final form into a golden and purple skin.

With the massive increase in power from all of the characters in the series since Frieza’s death at the hands of Trunks, one would only assume that the space tyrant’s makeover comes with a major boost in strength. If the destruction in the trailer is any indication, the revived diabolical despot is an entirely different animal than the one defeated by Goku on Namek.
Near the end you see Bills and Whis from the previous film Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, Vegeta standing over a beaten Goku, and what appears to be an exploding planet. Vegeta’s role will be especially interesting, considering that he typically doesn’t jump into battles immediately with the Z-Fighters, but this time the villain is one of his most sworn enemies and a figure responsible in large part for the man he became.
With this being the latest installment of the recent resurgence of the Dragon Ball franchise, it will be interesting to see how Akira Toriyama and his staff manage to bring something new with something old. Frieza is one of the most iconic villains in the history of anime and his re-introduction into the Dragon Ball Z universe will be one many fans will be eager to watch.
