Disney Can't "Let It Go"; Frozen 2 Officially Announced

|

It was only a matter of time before it was officially announced, and Disney has done just that. Frozen 2 is officially in development, according to a post on the official Frozen Facebook page.

The announcement confirms the return of directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee and producer Peter Del Vecho who were part of the team behind Frozen.
Kristen Bell also broke the news via Twitter, confirming her return to voice Anna.

In the case you don’t have kids and missed out on the Frozen phenomenon, the movie features the voices of Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel as Anna and Elsa, a pair of royal sisters – one who possesses a power which allows her to produce ice, frost, and snow at will. Not only did the movie fair well and receive strong positive reviews, but the soundtrack became a hit with the younger generation with songs like “Let It Go”, “Do You Want To Build a Snowman?”, and “For the First Time in Forever.”
Since the first Frozen movie, released in November 2013, was a huge success for Disney and grossed over $400 million in the U.S. and over $1.2 billion worldwide, one can see why Disney couldn’t just “Let it Go.” As the post mentions, production details and release date are “on ice for now.”
And just to get that song bug back in your head… here’s “Let It Go” from the Frozen soundtrack.
