T.J. Miller Provides More Evidence He's Playing Weasel In Deadpool Movie

Whether or not it was intentional or even allowed to be revealed yet, T.J. Miller may have let slip yesterday that he is indeed playing Wade Wilson’s emotionally-unstable sidekick, Weasel, in the upcoming Deadpool movie. Responding to another Twitter user, Miller jokingly mentioned that he’s “fat” because he’s a method actor to play the role of Erlich on HBO’s Silicon Valley but he’s getting “Weasel Thin.”

At this point we’re all but waiting for a confirmation that Miller will be playing Weasel, aka Jack Hammer: a character who was described in a leaked Deadpool casting call as a quirky fast talker, among other things.

Quirky, great sense of humor. Smart, funny, but more than a little bit slippery. Fast talker, always looking to make a buck. He looks out for himself first and foremost, but reveals loyalty at the end of the day.

As T.J. Miller’s use of #WeaselThin would hint at, the character of weasel is a lanky nerd. In the comics, he is a former Hydra agent (a fact that Deadpool constantly reminds him of) and is often dragged along on several of ‘Pool’s inane quests for loot. Miller’s sense of humor and concept of physical comedy are qualities that would mesh perfectly with Weasel, and he’s been suspected for the role ever since his involvement with Deadpool was announced.
Deadpool is slated to be released February 2016 and stars Ryan Reynolds, Moerna Baccarin, and T.J. Miller. It is directed by Tim Miller.
