Star Wars: The Force Awakens Promotional Art & Posters Leaked

|

Star Wars Celebration 2015 is still a few hours away from officially kicking off, but that hasn’t stopped some fun things from leaking out a bit early. Among them are a few gorgeous promotional posters showing Kylo Ren and the newly re-designed Stormtroopers, as well as a few of just Kylo himself.

While this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Kylo’s mask, it is the clearest and most definitive proof of what the final villain of The Force Awakens will look like. The images appeared to have surfaced on 4chan initially, then made their way to Twitter through, among other people, Star Wars‘ official blog contributor Tim Veekhoven.

Each of the posters have almost a cartoony feel to them, with their heavy set, dark-colored lines and the auras glowing around the characters. File this under complete speculation, but it’s interesting how the poster with Kylo is heavily accented with red, while the one with a mysterious cloaked Stormtrooper is filled with blues. Could be a hint to some kind of civil war within the troopers? We know at the very least the film’s protagonist, Finn (played by John Boyega), is an ex-Stormtrooper on the run so there could very well be more.

This is sure to be only the first of many exciting things about the upcoming Star Wars film to be announced during Star Wars Celebration, so keep your eyes on MOARGeek as we continue to bring you the latest.
