Netflix May 2015 Lineup Changes

It’s coming up on that time of every month where a huge chunk of Netflix’s streaming library is set to be removed, and a new group of films and TV shows are set to be added. With the Netflix May 2015 changes, roughly 60 streaming items are coming and going, with some surprisingly good additions such as Inglourious Basterds being added. Check out the full list below.

Additions

The biggest highlights for most Netflix owners will likely be Legally Blonde 1 & 2 and Quentin Tarantino’s 2009 blood-filled twist on history, Inglourious Basterds. The Legally Blonde movies are pretty take it or leave it: if you like that sort of thing, they’re pretty funny, if not you won’t feel bad missing out on them. Inglourious Basterds on the other hand, is a must see if you haven’t already. Just trust me.

On May 14 a series of new TV shows hit Netflix, including American Restoration, Counting Cars, Dance Moms, Duck Dynasty, Hoarders, Modern Marvels, and The Universe. 

If you’re on the lookout for kid-friendly streaming options, there is plenty being added as well. Five additional episodes of Puss in Boots Season 1 is coming on May 8,  Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast on May 17, and The Boxtrolls is being added on May 23 – less than a year after debuting in theaters.

Removals

Right off the bat on May 1, a few good comedies are leaving Netflix. A Knight’s Tale, Airplane!, Airplane II: The Sequel, and BASEketball are all leaving the service. Also leaving on May 1 is Valkyrie, which is another pretty great WWII film if that’s a genre you enjoy (and it’s slightly more historically accurate than Inglorious Basterds).

The biggest name being removed in May is undoubtedly Skyfall, Daniel Craig’s most recent film as James Bond. If you want to catch it in preparation for Spectre later this year, your last chance is May 5.
