Asus Announced A New Zenwatch, Phone, And Tablets Today At Computex

New products were announced today by Asus at Computex and many of them were all for Android enthusiasts. Pricing was not announced with these devices.

The first product I’ll be talking about is called ZenFone Selfie. Not much of an explanation is needed here due to the name pretty much describing what the phone is about. A big camera lens is sitting right in the middle of the top side of the phone. Resolution of the front facing camera is set to 13MP with an 88-degree field of view and f/2.2 aperture. Pricing and availability was not discussed.

Other specs are:

Four different ZenPads were also announced. A ZenPad 7.0 & 8.0 are the regular variants joined by the more premium ZenPad S 8.0. There will also be a 10.1″ tablet too. Spec details on the standard tablet models weren’t mentioned, so unfortunately we’ll have to wait for more information once the release date closes in. The ZenPad S 8.0 did show off its specs for the crowd (and thank you for that!).

  • Quad core 64 bit, Intel Atom chipset

Last but not least, a new Zenwatch was announced. Dubbed, Zenwatch 2. Not much has changed about the name, but the second generation of the Zenwatch still keeps its good looks. This year, not one, but two different sizes will be available. The smaller of the two watches is 37mm with an 18mm strap and the larger one is 41mm with a 22mm strap. AMOLED is on both watches along with Gorilla Glass 3, IP67 for dust and water resistance, magnetic charging cables (magnetic charging has been updated for betting charging times), and a Qualcomm processor on board. Which one? Unfortunately, that wasn’t specified. A neat addition to the watch is the crown which Asus states “adds functionality,” but isn’t telling us what it’s used for.

Multiple straps will be available to choose from, with rubber, stainless steel, and leather options available all coming in different colors. Swarovski leather straps are also available. Keep in mind that some regions may not get all bands.
