Just over a month after it was released in the U.S., the Samsung Gear VR Innovator Edition for the Galaxy S6 is headed to Canada. Samsung’s virtual reality device is currently available for preorder at BestBuy.ca and will ship in July.

The Samsung Gear VR Innovator Edition allows Galaxy S6 and S6 edge owners to use their smartphones as virtual reality devices. Some of the key features include:
- Immersive Viewing Experience: Featuring the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge industry-best 577 ppi and Quad HD Super AMOLED® displays, users can view videos, short films, games and other content on the Gear VR in exquisite detail and with less pixilation. The 96 degree field of view puts consumers front and centre with an immersive experience.
- Intuitive Design: Size, straps, airflow and a built-in anti-fog system, make the Gear VR convenient and comfortable to wear.
- Extensive Content Library: The Oculus Store gives users easy access to an ever-growing library of regularly updated VR content, including free and premium games, apps and videos created exclusively for Gear VR such as INSIDE THE BOX OF KURIOS™ – Cabinet of Curiosities a coproduction between Cirque du Soleil Média and Felix & Paul Studios. This piece of content takes viewers on a 9m57 (10 minute) extravaganza that will immerse the user into Cirque du Soleil’s most recent touring show KURIOS™ – Cabinet of Curiosities.
