Wargaming’s free-to-play multiplayer tank simulator/battle game, World of Tanks, is set to launch on the Xbox One later this month. The company has announced a multiplayer beta for Xbox One gamers this weekend. You can download the beta today, and the beta will run this weekend only (July 11-12).

Those who participate in the beta will get extra experience points (all players who login and play will receive a 2x XP bonus on all battles and a 2x Battle Operation to be used later) and a premium American tier 3 M22 Locust light tank. For those who already own the tank, Wargaming will be gifting them 180,000 silver instead. In addition, if you download World of Tanks on the Xbox One before July 28th, you will also receive the American tier II T1E6-X1 premium light tank for free with an exclusive shield emblem and exclusive camouflage.

World of Tanks on Xbox One features hundreds of tanks painstakingly recreated in stunning and realistic detail, presented in pristine high-definition, pushing the technical capabilities of Xbox One to their limit. The title will also feature a number of firsts, including cross-platform gameplay-bridging battles between Xbox 360 and Xbox One players, shared progress and content between the two platforms through a single Xbox Live account, an all-new “Proving Grounds” Player versus Environment (PvE) mode, full social and streaming support offered by the Xbox One platform, and much more!

First released on PC back in 2010, World of Tanks launched on the Xbox 360 in 2014 and now finds itself coming to the Xbox One. The Xbox One version features crossplay with the Xbox 360 version as well.
