Sifting through my Google+ stream sometimes I encounter some amazing stuff and this is one of those days. I stumbled on a post from Travis Hall that was showcasing an amazing weather app that absolutely needs to be made. Right now the weather app is a concept, only existing in GIF format and on paper, but the UI is stunning and the color pallet is unusual but appealing. Check out the GIF of the app in action below.
The app concept was thought up by Sergey Valiukh from Tubik Studios and he’s calling the actions used to manipulate the weather app, “Push-Pull Control.” The Ukrainian designer really has an awesome concept here and something we think app developers should take a look at and possibly collaborate with Tubik Studios on. The mock up animation is shown running on an iPhone but I’m certain this would work extremely well on Android as well. I think the first thing that grabbed me were the colors and fonts used in the mock up, very clean, minimal and easy on the eyes. The animations are also clean and crisp, it’s really an overall great concept.
What do you think of this weather app concept? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Facebook and Twitter.
