Fallout Shelter Comes To Android

The popular game Fallout Shelter by Bethesda Softworks LLC released on iOS a while ago and today, it’s come to Android on the Play Store.

The game weighs in at 141 MB, which is significantly less than the 205 MB it is on the Apple App Store. The game is based in the Fallout universe and players have to provide a better life for survivors of the apocalypse. You have to provide the citizens with Living Quarters, Water Treatment Plants, Cafeterias for their food, Power Plants…you get the idea. You also have to fend off and recuperate after an attack by raiders and other dangers, which often make for a nice change of pace and keeps you on your toes.

One good point about the game is the zero wait times. Many games have lost me because of the waiting I have to do for some building or other resource to complete construction. You do have to earn Caps, though. Fallout Shelter is a new take on life simulator-ish games and has received generally positive reviews from iOS users. I’m quite excited to check it out on Android.

The Fallout universe is set in a post-apocalyptic future, with the original game set in the year 2161. The series was initially developed by Interplay Entertainment and the series was later acquired by Bethesda Softworks. Fallout 4, the fifth major installment of the series will be released on November 10, 2015.

You can check and see if Fallout Shelter is compatible with your devices on Google Play here.
