Sony is unveiling some new smartphones at IFA this week, including the Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, and Xperia Z5 Premium. Now a French video has turned up on the web showing a reporter discussing and going over the Xperia Z5 Premium with Olivier Terme, Sony Mobile France Marketing Director. Continuing on with its traditional waterproofing, this batch of Z5s will have capless USB ports and will, again, be waterproof. New for this model though, is a fingerprint sensor and the camera will be a 23MP shooter. Many smartphones on the market already use Sony sensors so we’re sure this 23MP camera here will be nice.
The overall design looks unchanged from current Sony models. The company are is sticking with the square blocky look that’s its bread and butter. Materials look premium as most Xperia phones have that metal and glass surrounding it. Overall this looks like it should please the Sony Xperia users and perhaps may even entice new users as well. That 23MP camera sure is tempting and might be the reason some will buy this phone.
