Netflix is constantly updating its content and it can be difficult to keep up with what’s new and what’s disappearing from the popular streaming service. Hopefully here at MOARGeek we’ll be able to start keeping you up to date on what’s new in our “New On Netflix Canada” monthly series. Netflix Originals
Longmire, the contemporary-crime thriller dropped last year by A&E and subsequently picked up by Netflix, is making its Season 4 debut on the service. You can catch up on seasons 1-3 now, with season 4 hitting Netflix Canada on September 10.
Another Netflix Original, airing starting September 18th, takes a look at the life of Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards in the documentary Keith Richards: Under the Influence.
Netflix Original Series for Kids
September sees two new Netflix Original series for kids launching on the streaming service. The first, Puffin Rock, is an animated show aimed at 2-5 year olds and is set on a beautiful island off the coast of Ireland. Originally airing on RTÉjr in Ireland and Nick Jr. in the United Kingdom, Puffin Rock has a focus on nature and wildlife and follows the adventures of a young puffin named Oona and her brother Baba. Season 1 starts airing today, September 1st.
The popular VeggieTales series is back with a new spin-off called VeggieTales In The House. Follow the adventures of Bob the Tomato, Larry the Cucumber and the rest of their vegetable friends in this series which offers important life lessons and inspirational messages built into each story. Every episode also features a brand-new song. The show is already airing on Netflix US, and season 1 is set to debut on Netflix Canada starting September 25.
Exclusively on Netflix
A film about a young couple who begin to unravel when unexpected opportunities lead them down a volatile and violent path comes exclusively to Netflix this month. 6 Years will start streaming on the service on September 8 and stars Taissa Farmiga, Ben Rosenfield, and Lindsay Burdge.
Another movie coming exclusively to Netflix is a documentary that researches the effects cattle have on the environment. Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret hits Netflix on September 15.
