Flash/Arrow/Legends of Tomorrow Weekly Wrap-up for 9/11

|

You know that old saying “blink and you will miss it”? Well, you’re going to need some toothpicks for the ole eyelids for this Flash Season 2 teaser. Go get a set and get yourself squared away, I’ll wait.

Ready? Okay, here’s the video.

Did you see it?! Jay. Freaking. Garrick. In costume. For like half a second. Also, Wally West. Okay, let me back up a minute. Getting a little too excited here.

First, The Multiverse. It hasn’t been made official, but having Jay talk about a breach and someone ‘getting through’ is pretty damn close. Basically, the Jay Garrick version of Flash isn’t from this earth. Why is that a big deal? Because it basically gives the writers and producers a built in deus ex machina for bringing in new characters, bringing some back from the dead (Harrison Wells anyone) and some awesome new villains, one of which was already shown, Atom Smasher (played by Adam Copeland). Atom Smasher is possibly one of the most dangerous foes Flash will face this season (and possibly last), he has the ability to control his molecular structure, allowing him to grow to heights of over sixty feet without a problem. His strength and density grow proportionately to his size, allowing him to possess strength that rivals Superman.

There is other stuff to go along with that but it’s nasty and painful and I really don’t want to talk about it. Fine, you really want to know? Apparently his bones break and his muscles tear when he changes size. Man that has to be painful.

Anyway, things are looking better and better for Flash this season. At least from our perspective, not sure Barry Allen would agree but then again, I’m not asking him.

In Legends of Tomorrow news, DC released a first look at Hawkman and Hawkgirl. All leather and curvy like that, I’m sold. Also, it looks about 1000 times better than Diggles helmet. Sorry Digs.

And unfortunately, nothing new to report on the Arrow front.

Are you excited for the upcoming season of Flash? What do you think about the Hawkman and Hawkgirl costumes? Let us know in the comments below, or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
