We told you all about the Fluance Fi50 audiophile grade Bluetooth speaker back in July when it was first announced, and it still sounds like an awfully incredible speaker. Maybe you agree and were thinking about picking one up. If you’ve been a loyal customer with Fluance in the past, they are currently offering a trade-up deal. If you’ve got a FiSDK500 iPhone/iPod dock laying around and would like to upgrade to the newest that Fluance has to offer, they’ve got you covered, offering a $99 rebate on the purchase of an Fi50 when you send your FiSDK500 back to Fluance. There are, of course, a few caveats.
Your FiSDK500 needs to be in very good condition to be considered for a trade-up. “Very good” condition according to Fluance is:
The condition must be “Used – Very Good” which is a well-cared-for item that has seen limited use but remains in great condition. The item is complete, unmarked, and undamaged, but may show some limited signs of wear. Item works perfectly.
Additionally, any FiSDK500 that was purchased as an open-box, refurbished, or used item will not be eligible for this promotion, you will be required to pay for the return shipping to send your FiSDK500 back to Fluance, and you have exactly a month (offer ends on October 17th) to take advantage of this offer. Otherwise, any FiSDK500 that you’ve purchased should be eligible for a discount on the Fi50.
Why might you want to upgrade? The obvious reason is because the Fi50 is compatible with any Bluetooth device while the FiSDK500 is an iPhone/iPod dock, only compatible with certain devices. The Fi50 also includes updated hardware and overall improved performance. Plus this promotion lets you get something for your old dock, which isn’t something that manufacturers will often do. You can read over the rest of the rules and regulations at the source link below.
