When Destiny: The Taken King was announced, Bungie showed players the Sleeper Simulant, a brand new fusion rifle that would make any of them drool. Basically a rail gun that ricochets, the special weapon was a ghost with nary a word on how to obtain this coveted weapon. While players scoured the expansion for the weapon, examining each and every clue, the weapon wasn’t found.
However, it looks like deciphering clues wasn’t needed and players only needed to wait a predestined amount of time. Yesterday morning, following the daily reset, Destiny players were surprised as they were greeted with a brand new mission called The First Firewall. The mission pits you against Taken and Hive as you enter Rasputin’s War-4 bunker. Once defeated, you are given a transceiver and you are asked to enter in four sets of codes. While you can figure them out yourself, we have them for you below (with the 0 being the top code, 1 being the bottom). They go:

After you enter the codes, you are tasked with finding a new relic. A new mission opens up, which is basically the Cayde-6 mission where you must obtain a stealth drive. However, the kicker here is you have to get to the top of the mission in under four minutes and you can’t do this with a fireteam.
Luckily, you start half way through the mission and if you ignore the wizards and baddies, you can make it to the top with time to spare. There’s a chest in the middle and once you open it, three wizards (two yellow bar Taken, and one yellow bar Hive) will spawn. Kill them in the remaining time and you’ll receive the IKELOS FUSION CORE.
When you observe the core, you’ll find it requires a few components. To procur these items you need to do the following:
Heavy Power Coupling – dismantle a legendary or exotic heavy weapon (hope you weren’t too attached)
Ionized Shell Harmonics – beat the Venus mission, The Archive.
Plasma Confinement Control Modules 1-3: Complete a defend the Warsat public event on Earth, Moon, Mars.
You’ll spend the most time waiting for the warsat missions. It took me an hour to complete the one on Mars. Once you get all the components, repair the Fusion Core. Head to the tower, talk to Banshee, turn it in and wait for the daily reset. Congratulations on busting out the first part of the Sleeper Simulant saga.
Once the reset happens, you’ll be given one quest, to run through a specialized version of the Fallen S.A.B.E.R. strike. A heads up though, you want to be geared as the strike suggests a 280 light level. Once you beat the Shank at the end, you’ll get a Sleeper Simulant weapon frame. Turn it into Banshee and boom, you have yourselves a 290 light level Sleeper Simulant. Congratulations.
A few key things to know before taking all this on. You’re only able to obtain the First Firewall mission if you turn in enough fusion rifle relics to Banshee. They drop from various mobs so you should be able to get them fairly easily. Also, the mission is temporary. So if you didn’t start the whole process yesterday, you’ll have to wait until Bungie brings it back. Other than that, there’s not much to it. You’ll have one of the more BA guns in the game. Level it up with Motes of Light, and enjoy!
