Let’s face it, we’re glued to our phones nearly 24/7. With the cost of smartphones going down more and more people are jumping on the connected world train. We’ve been using smartphones now for many years and through those years we’ve literally grown into them as if they were an extension of our bodies. So the question Motorola recently had was, now long could you go without touching your phone? They set out to find out just how long people could go without touching their phones. Moto partnered with Ashton Kutcher, a man known for pranking and otherwise messing with people on his old show Punk’d, to glean important data on this subject (or really just mess with people). Of course along the way they advertise the Moto X Pure Edition but hey, it’s still a very fun experiment. You can watch the full “experiment” below.
So as you can see Motorola is touting the Moto X Pure hands-free feature but it speaks volumes as to where we’ve come as a society not being able to leave our devices alone for very long. While it would be nice to touch our phones less, the facts are we communicate via text, email and social media so that’s likely not going to happen. The Moto X Pure is a very nice device though and you can check out our full review of it here.
In the meantime, tell us how long you’ve gone without touching your phone. Tell us in the comments below if you’re glued to your device 24/7 or if it’s not a problem at all. We’d love to hear your stories!
