You might want to stop searching for inexpensive Android devices, because you’re in luck as one is here to be purchased for a pretty decent price. The Chinese phone manufacturer Huawei, as of today, January 31st is now offering the Honor 5X Android device for $199USD on Amazon. The handset is also available on Newegg, and the Honor store.
The Honor 5X sports an all metal clad unibody design with some great specs under the hood, you really can’t pass up this device, especially considering the low price tag. The device comes with a 5.5 inch IPS LCD display, 1080 x 1920 screen resolution, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 616 (64-bit) SoC, an octa core processor clocking in at 1.5GHz CPU combined with 2GB of RAM. Internal storage is 16GB, but is expandable up to 128GB with a micro SD card so you know you’ll never really run out of storage. Looking at the rear facing camera resolution, it’s going to be 13 megapixels (LED flash included) while the front facing camera will be 5 megapixels. A fingerprint scanner is also on board and Honor is letting people know that it’s accurate and pretty fast with a 0.5 second unlock time. Wondering what colors the phone comes in? You have the option of choosing either dark gray, daybreak silver, or sunset gold.
The phone will be unlocked so using it on just about any GSM network such as AT&T or T-Mobile will not be an issue. LTE is available for the device, so no need to worry about getting HSPA/HSPA+ speeds. The phone is also dual sim, so a micro sim and a nano sim will be used. Android 5.1 Lollipop is the latest running on the device with Honor’s EMUI skin on top.
Like I said before, you might as well stop searching for an inexpensive Android device as Techaeris has just found it for you. I wouldn’t mind purchasing the device, but you know, everything goes through the wife.
