Watch the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner turn your stomach

|

Flying is not everyone’s cup of tea. Some people are pretty uneasy about the whole affair and some people absolutely love being in the air. I can say that I fall into the latter category and I would have loved to be on the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner in the video below. Technology is making some amazing progression and it’s extending to the tech in the skies. The Boeing 787-9 can make some maneuvers that are stomach wrenching, maneuvers likely never to happen in regular flight. Take a look at the amazing video below as a crazy talented pilot practices for the 2016 Farnborough Airshow.

That is some impressive flying and that had to have been a wild bumpy ride! Not sure about you guys but I’d have loved to have been in that bird for that flight. I did have to chuckle at the disclaimer at the start of the video. “Demonstration by Boeing test pilots. Do not attempt.” As one YouTube user commented, “Yeah because I have an extra 787-9 laying around to do stunts with.”

Keeping the same wingspan as the 787-8, the 787-9 is a lengthened and strengthened variant with a 20 feet (6.1 m) longer fuselage and a 54,500 pounds (24,700 kg) higher maximum take-off weight (MTOW), seating 280 passengers in a typical three-class arrangement over a 7,635 nautical miles (8,786 mi; 14,140 km) range. It features active boundary-layer control on the tail surfaces, reducing drag. Boeing is targeting the 787-9 to replace its own 767-400ER, to compete with both passenger variants of the Airbus A330 and to allow opening new long routes like the 787-8. –Wikipedia
