OK, so there have been rumors of an iPhone 7 Pro model coming from Apple and that there would be three iPhone 7’s to choose from. Well that rumor never really went anywhere with most people agreeing that Apple would simply have the same iPhone and then the Plus model. Now we’re seeing admitted “dummy” models of what could be a third variant of iPhone 7. These could very well just be some early prototype concepts that may never see the light of day.
In the photos you see that the iPhone 7 Pro has the dual camera and the Smart Connector like the iPad Pro. Both the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus only have a single camera module. The antennas are where we’ve speculated they would be giving the back of the iPhones a cleaner look. Another area of interest is the home button. I’ve been speculating that the home button may no longer be a physically pressable button but may have Force Touch and gestures. The home button here looks like the ring around it is not recessed and beveled like the current iPhone models. It appears the home button is raised and the ring with it, could be angles and perhaps an optical illusion.
Right now I’m thinking that Apple is not going to offer three models of iPhone. I think what we’re seeing here are early dummy prototypes and the end product will be an iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Though I do believe that the pictured iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Pro will combine features making one product. Of course this is speculative and Apple could very well drop 3 models of iPhone in September, I’m just not prepared to say that will happen.
