Justice League trailer premiers at SDCC

DC certainly showed up to SDCC with a full hand, having already dropped the Wonder Woman trailer and now the first look at the Justice League movie. Here’s the video:

If our hopes and dreams come true, this movie will vindicate BvS (and Zack Snyder) for all of its mediocrity. It’s probably too early to be excited but that is a really good trailer. Lets hope we don’t get to see the whole movie in three minute clips before the full feature gets released in theaters, again (coughBvScough).

Batman is full force recruiting for his cool kids club and we finally get to see more of Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot). Superman (Henry Cavill) did not seem to make the cut for the teaser trailer, but in fairness we have already seen plenty of him in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It is definitely good to see the lesser seen characters get some more of the spotlight. Plus, technically he is dead. But we’ll see how long that lasts.

Meanwhile, DC seems to have found some of its funny side as Barry Allen/The Flash takes on that talkative and goofy young kid hanging around adults role. Arthur Curry/Aquaman seems to be that lovable, rage-filled alcoholic that loves swimming. Victor Stone/Cyborg has the least amount of information from this trailer but seems intriguing nonetheless. Diana Prince/Wonder Woman is clearly the organizer of group and work-wife of Mr. Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Rumors have it that Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor and Jared Leto’s Joker could also appear in the film, which would make things interesting. Darkseid is supposedly going to be one of the villains in Justice League, though how big of a part he’ll play in the film is currently unknown. There could be a lesser villain during the initial gathering of Leaguers, only time will tell.

Justice League is currently filming and is set to be released on November 17th, 2017. Stay tuned for more Justice League updates!
