Michael Bay is back one more time with yet another installment in the Transformers series. This time he rolls in with Transformers: The Last Knight which stars Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel, Anthony Hopkins, Laura Haddock, Isabella Moner, Stanley Tucci, and John Turturro. The most notable addition to the cast, in my opinion, is Anthony Hopkins. Hopkins is an award winning actor who’s starred in some amazing films including, Meet Joe Black, Silence of the Lambs, and Thor. This isn’t to say that Hopkins addition to Transformers: The Last Knight will make the film, there has to be a great script and the rest of the cast needs to be great as well, but it doesn’t hurt to have the man on board.
Michael Bay has gotten heavy criticism over they way he shoots his films but audiences seem to eat up his style anyway. The Transformers franchise has grossed well over $1.3USD billion and as far as Paramount Pictures is concerned, money talks. Honestly, I don’t mind Michael Bay’s film style, it’s pretty glaring when someone points it out but if you just watch the movies for what they are, it doesn’t bother me. Transformers: The Last Knight looks like it just might be decent and who knows, maybe Bay will surprise some of you.
