So the day has come where Niantic Labs has pushed out an update for some second generation Pokémon to be included in your journey to be the best, like no one ever was. But, it doesn’t seem like all of the generation two Pokémon are out at once. Only a few as of right now, but the way to get them are by hatching them from eggs.
Even though some second gen Pokémon are being hatched from eggs, it looks like Niantic is hinting that more Pokémon will be coming in the next few months. It looks like Pichu (pre-evolution to Pikachu) and Togepi are hatching from eggs from the video that Niantic Labs put out below, but no others. It may be possible that only baby Pokémon are being hatched first, so we may see Igglybuff, Smoochum, Elekid, and more. Niantic is having fun with these eggs and telling everyone to use the hashtag #PokemonGO on Twitter to share your experience with these new addition creatures to the mobile game.
On the bright side of all this, there is also a limited time Pikachu wearing a Santa hat that’s out and about right now to get everyone in the holiday mood. Santa hat Pikachu was included in the update yesterday and goes until December 29th at 10 A.M PST. Niantic is also having fun with this too by telling people to use the hashtag #HolidayPikachu to show to others or for bragging rights. Whichever you prefer.
It’s cool to finally see some new Pokémon being included in the update, but a pain that they’ll only hatch from eggs. What are your thoughts about second gen Pokémon being out and about now? Also, have you caught the limited edition Pikachu yet? Let us know by leaving your comments down below, or on Google+, Facebook, or Twitter.Source: Niantic Labs
