Amazon’s Give Back Box program has launched to give your unwanted items to Goodwill

|

It’s the day after Christmas and some of you may have received some items you don’t think you really need and that’s not a problem. Amazon and Goodwill are here with the Give Back Box to help you out with that by letting you send your stuff that you don’t need anymore to Goodwill with free shipping provided by Amazon. Just print out a shipping label and just about any box you have around the house can be used.

The steps are pretty simple really and all you really need is a box, your stuff that you’ll be sending away, and the shipping label.

  1. Open Your Box: Unpack your merchandise from your Amazon shipping box.
  2. Pack Your Box: Fill the box with clothing, accessories and household goods you no longer need and print your free shipping label from GiveBackBox.com.
  3. Send Your Box: Let UPS or the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) deliver your box of donations to Goodwill for you.

When you ship your boxes, they will go to the nearest participating Goodwill store in your community instead of a Goodwill distribution center that could be miles or another state away. These donations will be then sold in store so the built up revenue can help support job training, employee placement, and other community-based services. If you’re interested in more information on the Give Back Box program, you can click the link above, where you can get the shipping label and read about how the partnership between Amazon and Goodwill works out, the story, and the mission.

Have any of you received anything you don’t need from Christmas this year even if it’s things you’ve had for a while, do you plan on using the Give Back Box program? Let us know by leaving your comments down below or on Google+, Facebook, or Twitter.
