[CES 2017] Dell updates Inspiron 15, Alienware gaming laptops; partners with ELEAGUE

With the update of the Inspiron 15 and Alienware gaming laptops, Dell has a setup for players of all levels and price points. The new Inspiron 15 gaming laptop is the first gamers can expect to see from Dell’s Inspiron gaming line which gives gamers a better range of price points and systems. The updated Alienware gaming laptops will continue to cater to gamers after a high-performance, premium PC gaming rig.

Features of the new Inspiron 15 gaming laptop include:

  • Dedicated forward and rearward thermal outlets; dual fans, oversized pipes and heat exchangers keep everything cool for uninterrupted extended gaming sessions.
  • Available with 7th Gen Intel Quad Core processors and NVIDIA’s Pascal graphics, including NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 and 1050Ti, provide sharp, detailed game imagery with realistic shadows, textures, and effects.
  • Anti-glare FHD or UHD displays provides clarity, even in bright environments.
  • Waves MaxxAudio Pro provides audio controls and tuning that makes the most of the laptop’s speaker enclosures and subwoofer, providing a soundstage with stunning dimensionality for music and videos.
  • A deep-reserve 74 WHr battery keeps users in the game or binge-watching longer between charges.
  • Lights to enlighten your gameplay: The backlit keyboard with WASD keys not only helps you see your keys more easily in the dark, but it also helps you use both hands at a faster, smoother rate.
  • Expand your potential: A massive service bay door makes it easy to insert upgrades over time.
  • Modify for more: While many configurations come with 8 to 16GB of memory, this system is able to support up to 32GB of DDR4 memory that you can easily add later.

Updates to the Alienware line include:

  • Built for 4K gaming, virtual reality and the fiercest demands of the very latest PC games, Alienware stands apart as the brand for specialty high-performance gaming. The Alienware lineup includes VR and 12k-capable rigs, plus new VR-ready notebooks that boast a long list of engineering advancements.
  • With new 7th Gen Intel Core processors, new NVIDIA graphics, plus added SSD technology, Alienware pumps up performance for the New Year. That means more options for Alienware 13, 15 and 17 laptops, including optional 99WHr batteries on the Alienware 15 and 17 for up to 10 or more hours of battery life with a Full HD display.
  • The Alienware Aurora midsize desktop ratchets up performance with the new Intel processors; up to 10% performance increase in Cinebench R15 CPU and +18% in 3DMark’s Time Spy CPU, just what gamers need to kick off 2017.

In addition to the updated lineup, Dell has been named the ELEAGUE official sponsor and exclusive PC hardware provider with their Alienware lineup. All 2017 ELEAGUE tournaments will be televised live across a combination of TBS and Twitch, beginning with the ELEAGUE Major — featuring Valve’s popular Counter-Strike: Global Offensive — to be held Jan. 22 – 29. ELEAGUE will use the Alienware Aurora desktops with Dell 24-inch 144Hz gaming monitors as their competition systems, giving players incredible speed and processing power to easily overcome the most chaotic of competitive moments.

The Dell Inspiron 15 Gaming notebook will be available exclusively at Best Buy and Dell.ca/Dell.com beginning Jan. 5 along with the updated Alienware 13, 15, and 17 notebooks. Alienware 15 and 17 will feature new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics beginning January 12th and the updated Alienware Aurora will be available January 24th in Canada. Pricing for the new systems has not yet been released.
