Make no mistake, even though smartphones and tablets are taking the world by storm with their apps and games, PC and gaming consoles are still the leaders in the gaming industry. In terms of graphics, they are ahead by leaps and bounds against mobile phones and tablets. Their graphics make the gaming experience more realistic and breathtaking. As for the in game features and functionality, the PC offers a lot more with their wide use of the whole computer system – keyboards, mouse, hardware add-ons, among other things.

Thus, gaming enthusiasts are still very excited about new computer games coming out. And this year is no exception, with lots of gaming franchises releasing their sequels and even spin-off versions, the whole community is deeply engaged in discussions on what games are the best for this year. Here at I like Cheats, we have our own take on the best computer games for this year.

Below are *our top 5 games for the year 2017:

1. Battlefield 1

gaming
Battlefield 1 may have been released in late 2016, but we’re still playing it in 2017.

There is always the debate on which game is the better between Call of Duty and Battlefield. Well, for us, it boils down to the preference in the story setting of the game and other side features. In terms of graphics and gaming functions, both franchises are neck and neck. Therefore, for us this year, with Battlefield 1’s story being set from the World War I era, Battlefield has earned the spot in our top 5. Just imagine reliving the World War I era in high definition graphics? And with the game’s multi-campaign stories, gamers all over the world will surely have blast in shooting those enemies down and dying in the line of duty.

2. Battle Brothers

Battle Brothers

Battle Brothers is this year’s top strategy RPG game in our list. It is set in the medieval period with warriors, barbarians, archers, bandits, etc. Enjoy managing your band of mercenaries as you make a name for yourself in the wide medieval world. If you are fond of chess-based games with those hexagons controlling movements and waiting for turns, then this is the best game for you. The only thing we found lacking in the game is the lack of tutorials. It took us a lot of time before we got the hang of the game, but think about it, It goes to show how fun and interesting the game is and we didn’t mind exploring the game by ourselves. But of course, if you still want to get ahead and learn the ropes, then you can check out our site, I Like Cheats for those walkthroughs.

3. Resident Evil 7

In this 7th franchise, you will play as Ethan, a man searching for his companion in a strange town in Louisiana. Enjoy the game’s first-person perspective as you slaughter your way to the horrors of the deadly virus.

Outlast 2

Banking on the success of the first Outlast, developer Red Barrels have definitely given it all to match the hype and excitement for Outlast 2. Having only a night-vision camcorder in the majority of your journey, you will surely be in for a complete horrific experience all throughout the game.

5. Sea of Thieves

gaming
Sea of Thieves is in closed beta, but should be available soon.

Who doesn’t like to play as a pirate at least once in their lifetime? No one! Everybody wants to be a Jack Sparrow and be a pirate roaming the free seas – fighting different crews, drinking yourself to sleep with your beloved mates, discovering new players, and most especially searching and excavating new treasures. In Sea of Thieves, you will surely be in for a pirate yeah-ho-ho-ho!. We just hope that developer, Rare won’t fail and deliver this treasured game successfully to our hands.
