Middle-earth: Shadow of War ramps up advertising with new TV spots

Live-action TV spots for video games are becoming more common, and often add a fun, light-hearted element to upcoming games by bringing them to life. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released two new live-action television spots for the upcoming open world action RPG Middle-earth: Shadow of War.

As you can see by the first commercial above, “Eat It, Jerry,” the orc Norûk continues his feud with his adversary Jerry. Of course, this is one of the main aspects of the game as you take on stronger and higher ranking orcs. The spot plays on the Middle-earth: Shadow of War tagline “Nothing Will Be Forgotten” as every choice in the game is supposed to have game-changing consequences.

The second, titled “Not Today, Brian,” shows the flip side to the first commercial and the loyalty that can be gained with orcs in the game. As with “Eat It, Jerry,” actions you take will determine an orcs loyalty or desire for revenge in the upcoming game via the expanded Nemesis System.

In Middle-earth™: Shadow of War™, players now have entirely new ways to experience the dynamic world, with more choices and opportunities than ever before due to addition of Orc Followers. Whether spared, scarred, recruited or marked, every encounter will be remembered and help fuel the dynamics of society and conflict within Mordor, all brought to life through the innovative Nemesis System.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War is the sequel to the fantastic (in my opinion) Middle-earth: Shadow of MordorMiddle-earth: Shadow of War will be available for Xbox One X, Xbox One, Windows 10 PC (Windows Store and Steam), PlayStation® 4 and PlayStation® 4 Pro beginning October 10th, 2017.
