We’ve reviewed Marshall headphones in the past and have been impressed with both design and sound. The company has just announced their latest headphones, the Marshall Major III wired and wireless. The Major III brings some significant upgrades over the previous generation including, new drivers, updated ear cushions, and real vinyl details. Marshall says they’ve sold over 2 million units since they introduced their headphone line in 2010.

They’re not far off in looks from the previous versions but Marshall does stress they have been re-engineered with a cleaner more refined design language. Here are the company’s three major talking points about their latest offerings:

  • Iconic Sound: Major III & Major III Bluetooth feature new 40mm dynamic drivers that have been optimized and carefully tuned to give improved sound characteristics. The headphones have a clear, more defined sound without any compromise on power at lower frequencies.
  • 30+ hours of wireless playtime: Major III Bluetooth utilizes Bluetooth aptX technology and keeps the music going strong with over 30 hours of wireless playtime on a single charge, leaving the competitors in the dust.
  • A modern classic re-engineered: Major III & Major III Bluetooth are modern classics that have been re-engineered with a straight fit headband slimmed down 3D hinges and rebuilt ear cushions for comfortable all-day use. Thicker loop wires with reinforced rubber dampers contribute to the overall solid build quality.
