The Sonos Beam is the company’s latest audio product which wants to take over your entertainment experience. The company took a stab at something similar with the Sonos Playbase but it felt it could do better with the new Sonos Beam. The new Beam will integrate Alexa and Siri as well as come with AirPlay 2. Google Assistant is planned for a future update but isn’t available at launch. Sonos is pitching the Beam hard to current Sonos owners since it can be integrated with other Sonos speakers. The company tossed out a few scenarios for how that could work:
Beam is great alone, but even better with other speakers as part of the system. Whether adding music to another room or building on your home theater set-up, we recommend checking out Sonos’ Speaker Sets, which are currently available at a discount for a limited time on Sonos.com, and you can:
- Expand outside your living room with two Sonos Ones – Purchase as a set for $20 off
- Add a little more bass with a SUB – Purchase as a set and get $100 off
- Add surrounds with two Play:1’s – Purchase as a set and get $50 off

The Sonos Beam will be available starting today for $399USD. You can pick it up at Amazon or Sonos, or any authorized retailer of Sonos products. We’ve yet to check out the Beam but we’re hoping to be able to bring you guys a full review at some point soon. So stay tuned for that in the near future.
