With 45mm large-aperture drivers, the ATH-M50xBT use Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX and AAC codes, for the “best-possible wireless audio reproduction.”  With up to 40 hours on a single charge, the drivers also offer a 15 – 28,000Hz wide frequency range through the use of rare-earth magnets and the same copper-clad aluminum wire voice coils used in the ATH-M50x headphones.

“Although our M-Series models were originally designed as professional studio monitor headphones, they’ve crossed over into the consumer market to the extent that they’ve become a favorite of music listeners worldwide,” said Bob Peet, Audio-Technica U.S. Marketing Manager. “The ATH-M50xBT offers the same sonic signature that has made the ATH-M50x an audio industry standard, along with the convenience of on-the-go wireless operation.”

Other features include a fold-flat design, 90-degree swiveling earcups, professional-grade headband and earpads, playback controls on the left earcup, as well as app connectivity for iOS and Android.

The Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT are now available for $199USD/$279.99CAD and include a 1-foot USB charging cable, detachable 3.9-foot cable with mic, and a carrying pouch.
