PlayStation Classic games unveiled; differs for U.S. and Japan

It’s 2018 and while we’re looking forward to next-gen consoles, there has been a resurgence of the classics. The Playstation Classic is no different. Playing on everyone’s sense of nostalgia, these classic consoles come packed with games and a chance to relive the glory days of early gaming.

Today, we get to see what games you’ll get after you drop the $99 on the console. The list for the US games is below: 

  • Battle Arena Toshinden
  • Cool Boarders 2
  • Destruction Derby
  • Final Fantasy 7
  • Grand Theft Auto
  • Intelligent Qube
  • Jumping Flash
  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Mr Driller
  • Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee
  • Rayman
  • Resident Evil Director’s Cut
  • Revelations: Persona
  • Ridge Racer Type 4
  • Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo

If you happen to get the Japanese variant of the classic console, you’ll be getting a few different games. Some of the games will be the same, but the Japanese variant seems to focus on RPGs and side-scrollers. Here’s what they are:

The list of games is certainly enough to get any PlayStation fan excited. The PlayStation Classic will release on Monday, December 3 on the 24th anniversary of the original Playstation’s release and just in time for that gamer on your Christmas list. Be quick though, they’re certainly set to fly off the shelves.
