Spotify user? Check out your year in music with Spotify Wrapped

If you’re a Spotify subscriber, you can now check out your music year-in-review with Spotify Wrapped. When you login to the Spotify Wrapped website with your account, you’ll be shown a number of interesting tidbits taken from your listening habits over the past year.

Some of the things you’ll be shown include:

  • Firsts: the first song you listened to in 2018 as well as the first artist you discovered
  • How many minutes you listened to music over the past year
  • Your top artist, as well as how many hours you listened to them (and allows you to tweet out a thanks to them!)
  • Top 5: Artists, songs, and genres
  • Top 100: Spotify has put together your Top 100 songs into a convenient playlist for your listening pleasure (while assuring you that you have some “super solid choices”)
  • Your favourite musical subgenre (long live post-grunge?)
  • The oldest song you listened to this past year
  • What combined artist’s star sign you listened to the most (turns out both Eminem and Snoop Dogg are Libras)
  • Tastebreakers: based on your listening habits, a new playlist to explore new artists and genres has been curated for you (seriously Spotify, I don’t listen to country for a reason!)
  • And finally, a way to share your 2018 in music as seen in the featured image at the top of this article… including the ability to throw your lot in at the chance to have your 2018 Wrapped displayed on a billboard (in my case it was for a billboard in Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square) if you are a Premium subscriber

Have you checked out your Spotify Wrapped year-in-review yet? What do you think about what it showed you with regards to your music listening habits over the past year? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
