Superior Spider-Man #1 review: A new spider tale begins

|
, , ,

Here’s a quick recap: Otto Octavius (Doctor Octopus) once put his consciousness into Peter Parker to escape the effects of his dying body. This lead to him having Peter’s memories and gaining a better moral compass.

So he took up the mantle of the Superior Spider-Man. Peter got his body back, Otto was reborn into a clone of Peter, and now he’s on the West Coast under the identity of Elliot Tolliver while being The Superior Spider-Man in his free time. Got it?

Like the Superior Spider-Man, Otto is more logical, ruthless, and to the point than Peter as Spider-Man. He’s trying to be a good guy and do good things now. He was instrumental in the excellent event called Spider-Geddon, which just ended too. One can never have enough Spider books either so, here is the Superior Spider-Man #1.

Superior Spider-Man

For anyone just hopping in, this book goes over the origin story real quick so you get a good visual of my opening paragraph. This book is in excellent hands because Christos Gage (Ninja-K) is crafting the story. The art is up to par with Mike Hawthorne on pencils, Wade Von Grawbadger on inks, and Jordie Bellaire on colors.

Wrap Up

Since this book is just starting out, now’s a good time to jump on-board and enjoy the ride!!!
