Sonos has announced their brand new Sonos Architectural by Sonance. This is a collection of passive speakers for indoor and outdoor use which have been optimized for the Sonos Amp. The company partnered with Sonance with the objective of producing speakers that blend into your home and environment.

While Sonos Architectural by Sonance blends into your surroundings, it also delivers that same Sonos performance customers are used to. The company says. The creation and engineering of speakers for a specific amplifier marks a first for architectural sound, demonstrating both brands’ dedication to creating transformative sound experiences.

“Our goal was to create a solution optimized for installers, bringing the Sonos experience to architectural speakers for the first time,” said Sonos CEO Patrick Spence. “Sonance was the natural partner, sharing our passion for high quality, reliable sound solutions inside and outside the home.”

When paired with Sonos Amp, the In-Ceiling and In-Wall speakers’ unique hardware signature unlocks Trueplay™ which accounts for the size, construction, and furnishings of the room where the speakers are placed, and automatically adjusts the EQ for optimal sound.

The Outdoor speaker is the first Sonos speaker designed for outdoor use. Featuring a weatherproof design and engineered to withstand a wide variety of environmental conditions, you can now enjoy audio content year-round from anywhere in your home, whether inside or out.

“We’re excited to be partnering with Sonos to bring the first architectural speakers with TruePlay to market,” said Sonance CEO Ari Supran. “Sonos represents the pinnacle in distributed audio user experiences and we are thrilled to help extend that experience to installations where hiding technology into architecture is desired.

”A connection to Amp also brings the benefits of the Sonos system to every Sonos Architectural by Sonance speaker, including an easy-to-use app that works with all of your favorite streaming services, AirPlay 2 control, regular software updates, and the ability to add additional Sonos speakers and components to expand your setup over time.

Up to three pairs of Sonos Architectural by Sonance speakers can be powered by a single Sonos Amp. Also, all Sonos Architectural by Sonance speakers feature dynamic bass processing to enhance low frequencies for a richer listening experience.
